Specifications for Fire Doors in This Project
The steel fire doors used in this project must comply with the following standard requirements:

I. Material and Fire Protection Requirements
Fire Resistance Rating

  • Grade A fire doors should have a fire resistance limit of no less than 1.2 hours, and Grade B fire doors should have a fire resistance limit of no less than 0.9 hours.

II. Door Leaf Opening Direction

  1. Right-opening doors rotate clockwise.
  2. Left-opening doors rotate counterclockwise.
  3. The opening direction of fire doors must be towards the evacuation direction.

III. Technical Requirements

  1. Materials and Fittings
    1) The door frame, door leaf panel, and their reinforcements should be made of cold-rolled thin steel plates. The door frame should use steel plates of 1.5mm thickness, door leaf panels should use 1.2mm thick steel plates, and reinforcements should preferably use 1.5mm thick steel plates. If reinforcements have screw holes, the thickness of the steel plate should not be less than 3.0mm.
    2) The filling material inside the door leaf and frame should be non-combustible.
    3) Hardware fittings installed on steel fire doors, such as locks, hinges, and bolts, should have a melting temperature not lower than 950°C.
    4) Hinges installed on fire doors should not use bi-directional springs, and single-leaf doors should be equipped with door closers.
    5) Double-leaf doors must have an overlapping astragal and be equipped with door closers and coordinators.
    6) The door frame should have a sealing groove filled with a non-combustible sealing strip.

IV. Appearance Quality
Welding requirements dictate that welding should be firm, with evenly distributed weld points. There should be no false welding or burn-through, and the surface of the welded area should be smooth. The surface of the door frame and door leaf should not have noticeable depressions, scratches, or other defects.
Painting requirements specify that the surface of the fire door should be spray-painted with anti-rust primer, and the paint layer should be uniform, flat, smooth, without paint accumulation, pinholes, bubbles, missed areas, or drips.

In the closed state, the door leaf should be in contact with the door frame, with a minimum overlap of 10mm. The measurement should be taken at the midpoint of both sides and one upper side of the door leaf, with the maximum reading accurate to 1mm. The gap between the door leaf and the door frame on both sides should not exceed 4mm, the gap on the upper side should not exceed 3mm, and the gap in the middle of the double door should not exceed 4mm. The measurement should be taken at the midpoint of both sides or upper side of the door leaf or double door, with the reading accurate to 1mm.

Fire-rated Roller Shutters – Technical Standard Requirements

I. Design Requirements

  1. The type, opening dimensions, quantity, and area of the fire-rated roller shutters for this project are referenced in the architectural drawings. The specific manufacturing dimensions will be determined by the winning bidder, who will conduct on-site measurements before production.
  2. Apart from the underground sections, which will use water mist steel super-grade fire-rated roller shutters with a fire resistance limit of >3 hours, the rest of the project will employ dual-track inorganic fabric-based super-grade fire-rated roller shutters with a fire resistance limit of >3 hours (based on the temperature rise on the unexposed side as the fire resistance criterion).
  3. Super-grade fire-rated roller shutters installed on firewalls must close in one step to fully shut. Those installed in evacuation passages must have two-step closing functionality.
  4. The placement of fire-rated roller shutters is detailed in the floor plan. They should be installed on the building’s load-bearing structure and ensure smooth opening. If the top of the shutter does not reach the ceiling, the space above should be sealed with fire-resistant materials with a fire resistance limit of ≥3 hours.
  5. Compliance with the “Quality Acceptance Specification for Building Decoration and Renovation Engineering” GB50201—2001 is required.
  6. The winning manufacturer must produce detailed construction drawings for the deepened design and submit the drawings and selected components for review and approval by the owner and the design institute.custom steel fireproof door.

II. Technical Requirements

  1. Fire-rated roller shutters should have electric, manual, and automatic operation modes, with a control box featuring smoke and temperature control systems. They should be able to operate independently and be automatically controlled by the fire center, including automatic opening, closing, and two-step descent functions.
  2. The dual-track inorganic fabric-based super-grade fire-rated roller shutters use a single electric motor to drive dual transmission shafts, allowing synchronized raising and lowering of the shutters. When the temperature around the temperature control release device’s sensing element reaches 73°C, the device activates, and the shutter closes by its own weight.
  3. The dual-track inorganic fabric-based super-grade fire-rated roller shutters consist of double-layered fire shutters made from inorganic fabric (with an air gap of 200~500mm between layers, enhancing the fire and heat insulation performance to meet the fire resistance requirements of GB9978—99 equivalent to a firewall), with steel materials used for guides, seat plates, clamps, lintels, and casings, along with a door machine and control box to meet requirements for fire integrity, insulation, and smoke protection. It is emphasized that the guide rail center distance for the super-grade fire-rated roller shutters specified in this tender is 200mm.
  4. The curtain surface is composed of fireproof cloth, aluminum silicate felt, and decorative cloth. Along the latitude direction of the curtain cloth, high-temperature resistant stainless steel wires or ropes (40mm×3mm) are placed at certain intervals (less than 1500) to bear the self-weight of the curtain surface. Clamps are installed along the longitude direction to ensure the overall strength of the curtain surface, using galvanized flat steel 40mm×3mm, with a spacing of 300-500mm, and the curtain surface weight ≤3.5kg/m². Besides clamps, wind hooks should also be installed at both ends of the curtain surface. The composite curtain surface should not be directly connected to the roller shaft but should be connected through fasteners.
    4.1 The number of seams per meter in the curtain surface should not exceed 3 for each layer, and seams should avoid overlapping. The load-bearing seams should use double-line sewing, with an overlap of no less than 20mm; non-load-bearing seams can use single-line sewing, with an overlap of no less than 10mm.
    4.2 The decorative cloth or base cloth of the curtain surface should not become brittle at -20°C and should maintain a certain elasticity, and should not stick at +50°C.
    4.3 The normal temperature tensile strength of the curtain surface should not be less than 600N/5cm in the longitudinal direction and not less than 300N/5cm in the transverse direction.
    4.4 The combustion performance of the curtain surface decorative cloth should meet the requirements of GB8624-1997B1 level, and the base cloth should meet the requirements of GB8624-1997A level.
  5. The guide rails use 1.5mm thick galvanized steel strip, the roller shaft uses welded steel pipe or seamless steel pipe, and the casing uses an angle steel or square steel pipe riveted welding structure frame, enclosed with ≥0.8mm galvanized steel plate, and the seat plate thickness ≥3mm.
  6. The raw materials used for the dual-track inorganic fabric-based super-grade fire-rated roller shutters must comply with health and environmental regulations and not use materials explicitly banned by the state.
  7. The various raw materials used for the main components of the dual-track inorganic fabric-based super-grade fire-rated roller shutters must meet the relevant national standards or industry standards.
  8. Roller Shutter Door Fabrication and Installation
    8.1 Guide Rails
    8.1.1 The depth of curtain embedding into the guide rails and the distance between guide rails are detailed in the table below. For every 1000mm increase in guide rail distance, the embedding depth at each end should increase by 10mm.
    8.1.2 The top of the guide rail should be arc-shaped to facilitate the operation of the roller shutter.
    8.1.3 The two guide rails of a single curtain roller shutter should be parallel to each other, with a parallelism error not exceeding 5mm; the guide rails of different curtain surfaces of a double curtain roller shutter should also be parallel, with a parallelism error not exceeding 5mm.
    8.1.4 Guide rails should be securely installed on-site, with the spacing of embedded steel parts being 600-1000mm. The verticality error of the guide rails for vertical roller shutters relative to the base surface should not exceed 1.5mm/m, with a total length not exceeding 20mm.
    8.2 Seat Plates
    8.2.1 Seat plates should be parallel to the ground and contact evenly.
    8.2.2 The stiffness of the seat plate should be greater than the stiffness of the curtain surface. The connection between the seat plate and the curtain surface should be secure.
    8.3 Transmission Device
    8.3.1 The size, tolerance, and basic parameters of the transmission roller chain and sprocket should comply with GB/T1243, with the static strength of the chain and the selected permissible safety factor being greater than 4.
    8.3.2 The transmission mechanism, bearings, and chain surfaces should be free of rust and lubricated as required.
    8.3.3 The deflection of the roller shaft of the vertical roller shutter during normal use should be less than 1/400 of the length of the roller shaft.
    8.4 Roller Door Machine
    The roller door machine for fire-rated roller shutters should be a type-approved product tested and qualified by the national fire testing agency, and its performance should comply with Appendix A of GB14102—2005.
    8.5 Control Box
    The control box for fire-rated roller shutters should be a type-approved product tested and qualified by the national fire testing agency, and its performance should comply with Appendix B of GB14102—2005.
    8.6 The test methods for fire-rated roller shutters are detailed in the relevant sections of Fire-rated Roller Shutters (GB141202-2005).custom steel fireproof door.

III. Technical Standards
All provided products must comply with national, Yunnan Province, and Kunming City regulations, codes, and standards, and have the qualifications for sale and use in Kunming, Yunnan Province. These specifications and standards include, but are not limited to:

Entrance Security Doors – Technical Standard Requirements custom steel fireproof door

I. Basic Requirements
The anti-theft door shall be a spray-painted type (equipped with a nameplate, peephole, and provision for a doorbell).

II. General Requirements

  1. The anti-theft door should be a swing-open type, opening inward, with the opening direction as shown in the architectural floor plan.
  2. In the area of lock installation, centered on the lock hole and within a radius of not less than 100mm, custom steel fireproof door a reinforcing steel plate no less than 3mm thick should be used to prevent penetration through the door body and the removal of the lock mechanism or unlocking from outside the door by hand or tool.
  3. Locks are generally installed on the side of the door, with the lock core protruding no more than 2mm from the mounting surface. Except for the lock core, the rest of the lock should not be exposed but should be accessible for maintenance. Anti-theft doors with fire protection requirements must use fireproof locks.
  4. The external dimensions of the door body and the structural dimensions of its parts should meet the design drawings.
  5. All metal components should be corrosion-resistant, with a rust-proof primer under the paint. The paint layer should be bubble-free, with the paint film surface smooth, even in color, without exposure, peeling, obvious drips, bumps, wrinkles, or scars, and no obvious loss of gloss, fading, or permanent stains. The electroplating layer should be bright and uniform, without rust spots or stains.
  6. All accessible parts of the door body should be smooth and free of burrs, without sharp edges or points that could cause injury.
  7. Welds in welded parts should be solid, with uniform surface ripples, and height variation within each 100mm length not exceeding 1mm, with no incomplete welding, cracks, slag inclusion, burn-through, spikes, weld tumors, spatter, or missed welds.
  8. When using lap welding, the overlap should be no less than 8mm, and the height difference at the junctions of the door frame and door leaf should not exceed 2mm.
  9. The tensile strength of fillet welded joints should be no less than 180N/mm^2, and for T-joint welds, no less than 150N/mm^2.
  10. The color and texture are subject to the selection and confirmation by the party, with external material being steel doors.
  11. The thickness of the door leaf steel plate should be no less than 0.7mm, custom steel fireproof door and the door frame steel plate no less than 1.0mm.
  12. The dimensions of the door opening shall be based on actual site measurements.

III. Technical Requirements for Door Frames and Door Leaves

  1. The width and height dimensions of the door frame and door leaf should meet the specifications in Table 3.
  2. The difference in length between the two diagonals of the door frame and door leaf should comply with the specifications in Table 4.
  3. The gap between the top edge of the door leaf and the door frame should not exceed 4mm when the door is closed.
  4. With the door closed, the gap on the locking side of the door leaf and the door frame should not exceed 3mm. When protected by corresponding anti-pry devices, the gap should not exceed 5mm.
  5. With the door closed, the gap on the hinge side of the door leaf and the door frame should not exceed 5mm for door leaf thicknesses less than 50mm, and not exceed 6mm for thicknesses of 50mm or more.
  6. Connection of the Door Frame to the Wall
    The door frame should have longitudinal support components extending into the wall, with a diameter of no less than 10mm, distributed around the door frame at intervals not exceeding 800mm. The connection between the support components and the door frame should be solid and reliable, not removable from outside, and each connection point should withstand a shearing force of 2000N without severe deformation or breakage. When welded, the weld points should not affect the normal opening of the door.
  7. The grille on the door leaf and lock hole side, based on a horizontal line centered on the lock hole, should be covered with a baffle within a range of no less than 400mm above and below, custom steel fireproof door with sufficient reinforcement inside the door to resist opening or cutting through an area of 615cm^2 in the door body with ordinary mechanical hand tools within 10 minutes.
  8. The upper and lower parts of the door leaf and the grille outside the door may use a through-flower structure, with the maximum size of the gap not exceeding 35mm. Any connection point should withstand a force of 2000N without damage.
  9. Components used to secure the non-regularly opened side of a double-leaf door should withstand a pushing force of 4000N without bending or breaking.
  10. The door leaf should have sufficient rigidity, and the connections and locking points between the door frame and the door leaf, as well as between the door frame and the wall, should be strong enough to prevent forced entry. All connections and locking points should resist the impact of a 30kg sandbag 9 times without breaking or loosening, and the door leaf should not deform inward by more than 5mm.
  11. A sealing strip must be equipped.

IV. Technical Requirements for Door Hinges

  1. The door hinges should support the weight of the door. During opening, the door leaf should not tilt, and the hinge axis should not shift.
  2. The door hinges should rotate smoothly. With a pulling force of no more than 49N, the door leaf should rotate 90° flexibly.
  3. The door hinges should withstand the impact force and prying torque transmitted to the hinges when subjected to impact, chiseling, and destruction with ordinary mechanical hand tools for 10 minutes without breaking. When connected by welding, the weld should not be higher than the hinge surface.
  4. With a pressure of 6000N acting in the direction of the door leaf opening, the displacement between the door frame and door leaf should not exceed 8mm, and the door leaf surface should not deform inward by more than 5mm.

V. Technical Requirements for Locks and Their Assembly Structures
The lock must meet the requirements of GA/T73-94 “Mechanical Anti-theft Locks”.

  1. The door lock key should have no fewer than 6,000 combinations, with a mutual opening rate not exceeding 0.08%, and pin tumbler differences not less than 0.5mm.
  2. During 6,000 cycles of opening and closing tests, the collision between the door lock and the door frame lock hole should not cause noticeable loosening of the fixed connection between the door lock and the door leaf, and the relative displacement between the latch and lock hole should not exceed the normal usage range.
  3. The locking point should withstand a pressure of 6000N, with the force applied from outside to inside, centered on the geometric center of the door lock. After the force is applied, the maximum inward deformation should not exceed 5mm, and the lock should not displace and should open normally.

VI. Other Requirements
All entrance security doors for this project in terms of processing and installation should meet national standards and the regulations of the Ministry of Public Security, Ministry of Construction, Kunming City, Yunnan Province on metal household doors processing and installation, as well as the relevant regulations and requirements for the indoor environment.
